April 12th, 2014: SpaceUp Vienna

Welcome to SpaceUp Vienna!

On the 12th of April in 1961 Yuri Gagarin completed an orbit of the Earth and crossed the line to space as first human being. That’s what we celebrate every year as “Yuri’s Night”.

This year, the Vienna Technical Museum offers the gorgeous exhibition SPACE. Therefore we chose this location for SpaceUp Vienna. In the evening, everyone can attend “Yuri’s Night” (predominantly conducted in German) at the same place.

If you come to Vienna one day earlier, you are very welcome to join our get-together in a typical Viennese “Beisl” (some kind of a pub), get into contact and warm up for the great day.

For those who want to spend the whole weekend in Vienna we offer a social tour to “space places”, where you can watch stars, or which contained observatories some decades or even centuries ago.

Let’s have a great SpaceUp Vienna – we’ll rock the planet!
